Alpine chalet for your romantic mountain experience
You would like to spend your vacation in a traditional chalet on the slopes of the Alps? But you don’t want to be without certain comforts? Then our Gschwandtner Chalet in Seewigtal in Styria, ca. 10 minutes away from Haus im Ennstal at 1,250 meters above sea level is absolutely the right hotel destination for you. Our 300 year old, newly renovated „Troadkasten“ offers 45 m² more than enough space for a family oft wo adults with two children – or also for a couple who simply want to enjoy mountain peace. When you look out of the window you have a spectacular view over the Dachstein Massif range of mountains. And over alpine meadows or forests where maybe you will see some cows or maybe even a young deer which ventures out in the twilight. At night you can see the shining stars, bright and clear as only possible in this mountain region.
In summer …
… you can simply go out from the Gschwandtner Hütt’n to extensive hiking tours or mountain bike tours in the Schladminger mountains, for example to the lake “Steirischer Bodensee”. If you wish you can just leave your car at the hotel. Why not take a trip up the Dachstein or just jump into the Aicher Lake or … there is just so much to discover!
You will also receive the free “Sommercard Schladming-Dachstein” with free admission or discounts to more than 100 leisure attractions.
In winter …
… winter fun also begins right on our doorstep: tobogganing, winter trekking and so much more. Fun-on-the-slopes of the 4-peak ski circuit (Hauser Kaibling – Planai – Hochwurzen – Reiteralm), and you are there in only a few minutes by car. The next “Langlaufloipen” (cross country ski trail) is also not far away.

What you should know
Your holiday chalet is at your disposal after 4 p.m. on day of arrival. On the day of departure we ask you to please vacate by 10 a.m. at the latest. The next village Haus is 5 km away and here you will find food stores, restaurants and cafés, post office, bank and pharmacy. Schladming is approx. 10 km away. The lodge is reached by car via an asphalt road. Pets on request. No smoking permitted.
